With the development of computer technology and the rise of cloud computing, virtualization technology have attracted much attention because of its well-independence, ease of management and server consolidation. Virtual machines have lots of purposes in many fields: such as for system security, system development and testing areas; also used high-performance cluster computing. Dynamic migration of virtual machines has become the focus of virtualization technology. It is widely used in the cloud computing environment for server run-time dynamic packaging transfer and load balancing. As X86 platform a virtual machine with best open source, Xen virtualization and hardware support for pan-assisted full virtualization technology, has great potential for development.In this paper, cloud computing application in Excalibur system. Xen as a platform to study the Xen virtual machine-related applications, structure, key technology, focuses on the dynamic memory migration. And for the Xen pre-copy algorithm advantages and disadvantages, especially the maintenance of the cloud facing the server when the server load balancing memory pages that change frequently reflected by the low transmission efficiency, improved algorithm is proposed relocation of memory-layered matrix algorithm. The algorithm focuses on the by increasing corresponding variables to count the range in a memory page change data, calculated an average, thus to determine whether to send the page. So it can reduce duplicate copies of the traditional iterative process the dirty pages problem, namely, by the number of statistical memory pages to reduce unnecessary rewrite copy. At the same time make the improve algorithm as starting point, designed to improve the dynamic migration algorithm based framework for Xen. And set up experimental platform, respectively, in homogeneous and heterogeneous cases tested the performance of hierarchical matrix algorithm and compare with Xen's original algorithm. Draw conclusions based on test results.
