Analysis Of Chinese Government's Response To The Network Supervision Of Public Opinion

Public opinion supervision (POS) plays an important role in the supervision system in China. In the Internet era, POS that participates in social affairs and expresses views through networks platform has become normality. Since the birth of POS, the government has been its focus, so the effect of network public opinion supervision(NPOS) on the government is becoming stronger and stronger. Some different from the traditional POS, NPOS not only has its own discipline internally,but also has various effects on its object, which presents new challenges to the government's response to NPOS.Focusing on "network public opinion supervision" and "the government's response", this thesis discusses the NPOS's status in China as well as the objective necessity of the government's response in such environment. Then we analyzed the generation and development discipline of NPOS through several special cases. The reasonable and unreasonable government's responses to the NPOSs are introduced, and the underlying causes of the unreasonable response are analyzed fatherly. We also discuss the necessity and basic theories of the scientization of government's response on NPOSs. Finally, an idealized model of scientific government's response is proposed from the angle of journalism and communication. This model can give reasonable suggestions for government to response to the NPOSs.
