Adding cooperation technique into the conventional cellular networks can increase system throughput, improve spatial multiplexing and mitigate the inter-cell interference. Cooperation is one of the highlight technologies to improve cell-edge users Quality of Service (QoS).Radio resource management in cooperative cellular network is the main issue discussed in this thesis to ensure high data rate and satisfied QoS. The main goal of this research is to investigate user fairness, system throughput and resource allocation efficiency in wireless cellular network. A transmit antenna selection algorithm is proposed in the thesis, which is considered both the constraint from the number of resource block (RB) and users required. This algorithm concerned maximum system throughput under fairness constraints. Base station cooperation is an efficient cooperative technique. a cooperation set selection algorithm is proposed by using graph assist, which convert the inter-cell interference into desired signal channel under overhead constraint. a resource block scheme is given combined with cooperation set selection algorithm in order to avoid the resource allocate conflict.
