With the development and strength of the Internet, the global Internet IP address authority IANA's IPv4 address resources have allocated completely in February 2011, and IPv4 address pool is exhausted. However, the existing IPv4 network host, network users are still growing explosively, and PDA, smart phones, smart sensors and other mobile network are one of hot spot applications in the future Internet, which all require IP address. The development of future Internet will hinge on popularizing next-generation Internet communication protocol worldwide. As the next generation Internet protocol IPv6 with its great advantage of huge address space is rapidly growing popularity at home and abroad.Currently, the most of network are using IPv6 stateless or stateful address autoconfiguration to distribute address among the node. Such address configuration mode have the advantages of plug and play, easy network migration, but it's lack of users management and can not make a count on users'distribution, trends and traffic, let alone achieve IPv6 users identification, fault location and diagnosis. For the allocation and management issues of IPv6 node address, this paper studies IPv6 node address allocation modes and features deeply, and then achieving in the management, will be able to improve IPv6 network effectively about security, control and monitor.Firstly, this paper studies IPv6 node address stateless or stateful assigned mode deeply and the characteristics of generation, updating and aging of the IPv6 node address, analyzes using the working mechanism of listening to neighbor discovery protocol control messages so as to establish IPv6 node true source address binding items; Secondly, starting with the existing condition of the campus network equipments, combined with IPv6 three-level hierarchical network model:access switch, aggregation switch and core routing switch, based on Beijing Jiaotong University IPv4/IPv6 campus network, this paper designs the key components, such as collection server, management server and WEB server, and implements IPv6 node address allocation management; Thirdly, this paper proposes regulatory framework of IPv6 node address automatic configuration, through collecting the real-time sniffing IPv6 address and related information items of access switch existed on the campus network, accessing to the active users' IPv6 address. MAC address, VLAN, port number, and other related information; Finally, combined with user registration information of campus management system, this paper implements user identification based on real IPv6 source address, and counts the distribution of IPv6 users'online time (complementary cumulative distribution function CCDF), active users' online time (PDF) distribution, the users' numbers and the change trend, the TopN distribution of IPv6 active users of the buildings and so on, and guides the planning and allocation of IPv6 addresses, and then realizes IPv6 node users' location and fault diagnosis.
