With the social development, continuous improvement of living standards and increasing awareness of people's security, video surveillance has entered our daily lives. But with the popularity of video surveillance technology, the lack of flexibility and adaptability of the traditional wired video surveillance system gradually exposed, such as areas people difficult to reach, temporary venue, oil and other centralized management of remote areas. Thus, wireless digital video surveillance system is born out. Wireless video surveillance system as the complement of wired control, making the application coverage of monitoring broader, and more responsive to social development needs.Through participating in the project of "Intelligent wireless video monitoring system based on WIMAX technology", "High-speed wireless video surveillance system based on WIMAX technology" and "The demand for real-time video encoding in wireless video surveillance system of the Shanxi Province major industrial technology development project", analyzing the overall system requirements, choosing high-performance multimedia processor-TMS320DM6446, with DaVinci technology introduced by TI, wireless video processing platform based on CDMA2000 1xEV-DO is designed. Thus, video signal processing and wireless transmission are achieved. Around the DM6446, external interface is designed, and overall system design is detailed. The main contents of this paper are as follows:1. The paper introduces the background of the topic and project sources, analysis and researches the development of the key technologies involved in wireless video surveillance system.2. The software and hardware development platform involved in wireless video surveillance system based on CDMA20001xEV-Dois, are introduced, and DaVinci technology, embedded Linux technology and the building of cross-compiler environment are elaborated with emphasis.3. After carefully studying and deeply understanding of the structure and function of TMS320DM6446, with the mature DaVinci technology processors, wireless video surveillance collection terminal based on DM6446 processor system is designed. Various hardware module design of the collection terminal is elaborated, including:audio and video capture module, interactive communication module, power management modules, memory modules and 3G wireless transmission module..4. According to the system design requirements, the system schematic and PCB are layout in the paper. And the signal integrity for high-speed PCB design process is also analyzed and simulated.5. According to the design demand, the MC8630 driver based on Linux operating system is compiled, as the basis of realizing wireless transmission of audio and video signal.
