An emission system of pulsed semiconductor laser range finder,mostly including diode laser power supply and collimating optical system,is an important part of a laser range finder.Based on the analysis of the mathematical model of the driving source circuit,this paper designs a solution of a semiconductor laser sending system,and realizes a driving circuit which has characteristics such as high-repetition frequency,short pulse rising time,short pulse-width and high output power.Additionally,with the geometrical optical theory and the simulation of the ZEMAX optical design program,the collimating optical system of two properly spaced elliptic section cylinder lenses with different focus lengths ,whose generatrices are perpendicular to each other,has been designed to collimate the semiconductor laser beam.The result of the simulation shows the tangential and sagittal far-field divergence angles of the laser beam are both less than 3mrad,which lay the foundations for the future development of the emission system.
