With the development of wireless communication technology, very few of spectrum resource is left. Research shows that the shortage of spectrum resource is relative. On the one hand, spectrum space has been employed by many wireless services; on the other hand, spectrum resource is not utilized effectively. A new technology called cognitive radio has been proposed to solve this problem. In cognitive radio system, terminal equipment can sensing external environment, find the spectrum resource which is not used, utilize the spectrum resource effectively. The spectrum allocation technology, which is one of the key technologies of cognitive radio, the research emphasis is how to manage the spectrum resource effectively.At first this paper introduces the research background and some key technologies of cognitive radio, then research the spectrum allocation technology emphatically. Through research on cooperative game theory, a one to one matching game spectrum allocation algorithm which can be used in single carrier system is proposed in this paper. Because of the good performance of multi carrier technology such as OFDM technology, a many to one matching game spectrum allocation algorithm which can be used in multi carrier system is proposed in this paper. In matching game spectrum allocation algorithm, spectrum allocation problem is abstracted to a two-sided matching market problem, assignment spectrum to user by using deferred acceptance algorithm. Theoretical analysis and simulation results show that an optimal stable outcome can be found by this algorithm. The algorithm can realizes not only efficient allocation but also fair allocation, has practical significance.Finally, this paper combines matching game algorithm with water filling algorithm and proposes a joint allocation algorithm to allocate spectrum and power. Simulation result shows that this algorithm can improve the channel capacity of system effectively. Subsequently an algorithm combines matching game algorithm with spectrum sensing contribution is proposed. This algorithm can assignment more spectrum resource to the user who make more contributions to the cognitive network.
