Binocular stereo vision measurement is the main ways of obtaining three-dimensional information of the environment with human's eyes. With the development of the theory of computer vision, binocular stereo vision measurement in industrial measurements have played an increasingly important role, with broad applicability.Range measurement by CCD based the principle of computer vision with dual-cameras is discussed in this paper. The fundamental principle of computer vision with dual-cameras has a strong resemblance to the visual perception procedure of mankind. We can get different images with two different view points and then calculate the position deviation of images pixels based on triangular measure. Finally we can reconstruct the three-dimensional coordinate of the object. The integrated system of measuring the distance by CCD generally includes image acquisition, camera calibration, features extraction, stereo matching, object location and depth map construction, etc. Computer vision with dual-cameras and camera calibration is mainly discussed respectively in this paper. Then it described the designing program and analyzed the experiment tolerance, and reached the final conclusions.
