With the development of pattern recognition, the technology of computer vision and object-tracking tends to be sophisticated. The video surveillance system can monitor suspicious behaviors, such as illegal entry, regional congestion and so on. More and more companies use this system for saving manpower and ensuring personal and property safety.The intelligent surveillance system in Tianjin airport includes the video acquisition subsystem, the video analysis subsystem and the configuration-management subsystem. After the user selects the video analysis algorithms, the system monitor the airport intelligently. When the abnormal behavior appears, the system generates alarm information and alarms the user. The information is saved in the database so that the user can view and summarize the information. The main works are as following:1. The configuration-management subsystem is designed and implemented independently by the author. The configuration-management subsystem divides into the database server, the system-configuration server and the client. The database server stores the videos and pictures. The system-configuration server is responsible for the parameter configuration. The client provides the interfaces for operations of the system.2. The alarm terminal and population statistics of the video analysis subsystem are designed and implemented. There are four video algorithms in the behavior analysis terminal, which are illegal parking, illegal entry, population statistics and population density. The population statistics is based on the technology of moving object detecting and recognition. By the results of the video algorithms, the alarm terminal can determine the need for alarming.The test shows the system is stable and the alarm delay is small. The system can run continuously for a long time. The system meets the requirements of stability and timeliness.
