With the degrees of digital medical increasing, the medical imaging technology widely used in the medical domain, the massive medical images produced in the clinic has an important reference value to the medical scientific research, but for its large quantity and difficult to manage, the efficiency and accuracy in the retrieval are still insufficient. Traditional database query mechanism can not deal with the large amount of data access with the limitations, and general search engines can not index the depth of information resources and timely update the index of information, so the professional and comprehensive in the retrieval are insufficient. Lucene is an object-oriented architecture with a full-text search engine, providing the complete query and index engine. Several kinds of station search engine can be developed based on it,which meets the needs of information query of professional field.Both for the general search engines or vertical search engines, participle technology widely used search engine domain, is the important component of which. With the chinese characteristics, it is needed to adopt some algorithms for its handle in the process. The architecture of chinese participle machine is designed with forward maximum mathching algorithm, the double hash table dictionary structure combining the traditional participle dictionary mechanism including chinese information preprocessing, dictionary management and participle unit,finally successfully applied to medical imaging systems. The retrieval efficiency of this chinese participle machine is high and the speed is fast.The architecture of medical image retrieval system is designed with ExtJS Ajax view framework, Struts2 controller framework, Spring management framework,Hibernate O/R mapping framework and Lucene, including preprocessing, index establishment and resource retrieval. In the progress of implementation,optimize the entire system in accordance with the characteristics of the medical industry as well as Lucene framework. The retrieval efficiency of this system is high and the function is perfect.
