Design And Implementation Of Customized Control Processor And On-Chip Bus Interface In MPSOC

With the rapid development of Internet technology, a higher network bandwidth and a variety of more complex services is required. The wide band,mobile,IPand converged become the trend of the development of the network technology. Under this trend of rapid development, the network processor came into being. The network processor is a kind of programmable SOC, not only provide the processing speed for the system like ASIC, moreover provide the general processor's flexibility.The article mainly researches the system bus in Network Processor, complete the hardware design of the customized control processor for initialization configuration and the precept design of On-Chip bus interconnection in system, mainly complete the AMBA bus interface for SRAM,SDRAM memory controller. According to the AHB protocol which is the subset of AMBA 2.0 bus protocol, it finishes the function of the customized control processor and AMBA interface module to configure entire initialization information to the AMBA interface of every module, finally to every module in Network Processor. This article completes the RTL design of synchronization FIFO, AMBA_logic interface in AMBA interface module and the RTL design of initialization module, using the ModelSim and ISE to finish the function simulation and verify the system configuration of initialization finally.Furthermore, by using the DesignCompiler this article do the synthesis for two modules, the result shows that two designs are able to be operated at the frequency of 250MHz.The article completed the RTL design of the system initialization customized control processor and AMBA interface module for memory controller in Network Processor, finished the function simulation and logic synthesis, finally the results show that two designs can accomplish the request.
