In this paper, using EM scattering theory, based on the MPI, the parallel PO method is applied for the solution of EM scattering from the stealth plane and cruise missile in high frequence wave band. Then, the numerical results are compared with those obtained from the measurement and the literature. The main works in this investigation are as following:1. The basic principles of the geometric model establishment and the physical optics method are introduced in detail. The parallel algorithms based on the MPI parallel system are also presented.2. Based on the PO method, triangular object modeling is presented to build the complex target. The RCS of military target with large electrical size is calculated, and the numerical results are also compared to those obtained by the commercial software. The analysis of the numerical results is also presented.3. The RCS evaluation formula of the PO method for coated targets is derived by introducing the reflection coefficients representing the scattering of dielectric surface. The parallel PO method is also presented for solving RCS of electrically large complex targets coated with radar absorbing materials under the incident wave with different frequencies. The analysis of the numerical results is also presented.4. According to the PO method, NURBS surface modeling is presented to build the target. The RCS of simple target like spherical shells and cone platform is calculated. The analysis of the numerical results is also presented.
