| With the rapid development of communications technology, the soft switch has become core technology in Next Generation Network(NGN), and voice service has become the focus of NGN. The most notable is Instant Messaging(IM). NGN,in which service-related functions are independent from underlying transport-related technologies, offers unrestricted access by users to different service providers and makes the service provider to deploy services more flexible.Unified and open interfaces allow the telecommunications industry more diverse value-added services[1]. In this situation, IM services was borned.It based on IM and Presence services technology which is the core technology. Because of its efficient, convenient, instant, fast, and other advantages bringing new experience to users, IM has been used in everyday work, study and life and become an indispensable communication tool.However, with the IM service in full swing, the increasing user and complexity of the network structure promotes that the major instant messaging providers increasingly concerned about the stability and configuration of the server operational. So as to provide IM server unified management platform to protect the quality and expand communications services subscribers has become a serious problem suppliers. Therefore, on the subject of the instant messaging server network is very important.Equipment Instant Messaging Server is studied in this paper, and designed specifically for employees of the instant messaging software, according to the company organizational structure.The research background, a brief description of IM Server features and architecture and the use of SNMP management protocol are introduced at first. In the middle part, the overall architecture of IM server network management is given and designed. According to IM Server providing network management functions, the design and implementation of each module is described at the end of this paper. |
