Electronic Made to Measure is a new way of costume production in the 21st century. eMTM utilizes 3D body scanning technology, computer technology and network technology to combine with 3D virtual mannequin generation, 3D virtual mannequin measurement,3D virtual human body garment prototype generation, so that it has realized the convenient and swift industry chain. eMTM has already become the focal point of research and study in the field of domestic and international costume production, and it will become an important developing direction as a new way of digitized costume production in the future.In this paper, eMTM system consists of 3D virtual mannequin generation subsystem,3D virtual mannequin measurement subsystem,3D virtual human body garment prototype generation subsystem and Web application subsystem. The first three subsystems integrated to form the eMTM engine. It is using asynchronous communication through the messaging system for data transmission between the eMTM engine and Web application subsystem. Thus making the coupling between the various subsystems to minimize, It makes eMTM system has the portability and scalability. eMTM system's workflow is through upload user face photo,side photo and user height, extract body feature data accurately. matching mannequin parts template database to generate personalized 3D virtual mannequin;Then measure the exact body size on 3D virtual mannequin, obtained the necessary garment parameters of costume production, and on this basis to generate 3D virtual human body garment prototype and 2D prototype garment, garment manufacturers produce costume according to garment parameters, thus completing the tailored clothing.The main content of this paper can be summarized as follows:1,3D virtual mannequin generated subsystem integration. Extracting body feature data to generate 3D virtual mannequin; according to the matching algorithm, select the closest chest, waist and hip template from the mannequin parts template database; generate personalized 3D virtual mannequin according to body size obtained by the photos.2, The development of 3D virtual mannequin measurement subsystem. After generating 3D virtual mannequin we need to measure the mannequin to get the body size to design clothing. This paper presents a series of measured parameters to meet the needs of apparel production.3,3D virtual human body garment prototype generation subsystem integration.In this paper, we use Donghua Clothing prototype garment to generate 3D virtual human body garment dressed in 3D virtual human body. We use the 3D surface flattening method based on spring-mass system to map 3D garment prototype to 2D garment prototype.4, The development of Web application subsystem. Built a Web-based electronic made to measure system.Including user registration, user login, photo upload and update,3D virtual mannequin display, mannequin measurements and other functions.
