Automatic Target-scoring System can display, inspect, report and record the target automatically which avoids the subjective and waste problem of human-aided target report and improves the efficiency of training. However, there are many disadvantages in existing system, such as complicated structure, high cost, low adaptability and bad-interaction, so it can not satisfy the need of field-traing environment.Aiming to the actual requirements of target-scoring system, combining with Embedded Technology, Image Processing Technology and Sound Localization Technology, a target-scoring system called Interactive Automatic Target-scoring System is designed and implemented which has good portability,high reliability and interactive characteristic. This system implements these functions of display, inspection and report of the target by using image acquisition and processing system. Based on the design principle of embedded system technology, the system is designed to be a hand-hold terminals equipment, which can improve the portability and interactivity of system is enhanced in this way.The main works of this thesis are as follows:1. After studying the design principle of Embedded System using ARM micro process, the whole frame of IATSS is put forward, and the hardware and software of all modules are detailed; 2. After studying the method of designing GUI interactive program with the Qt/Embedded in Linux platform, The program of Automatic Target Scoring System is implemented. The main functions of this program include image acquisition and communication, image rectification, the bullet holes recognition, serried bullet-holes partition and scoring, etc; 3. After analysing the imaging characteristics of bullet holes, a new method of recognizing the bullet holes based on color similarity measurement is proposed, which can recognize the bullet holes which has 2% differences between background, but also meets the color visual characteristics of human; 4. A new algorithm of distinguishing serried bullet holes based on geometry property is presented, which can distinguish the serried bullet the degree of overlap is less than 70%; 5. Sound Localization Technology is studied which is applied to resolve power for shot location, in this way, the automation level of the system is raised highly.
