Research And Implementation Of Application Sharing System Based On VNC

Application sharing is very important in the remote video conference system. VNC technology has a wide range of applications in thin-client computing technology because of its good platform independence. Application sharing system which is researched in this paper is based on thin-client computing technology by using the VNC protocol to achieve cross-platform application sharing.The application sharing system based on VNC uses the default star-shaped delivery mechanism, this mechanism adds the mount of sending data largly in a shared server, the default screen area changing detection algorithm will also generate amount of data ,which is used to detect changes in the screen area, Furthermore, the coding mechanism don't support fault-tolerant capabilities, so application sharing system can not discard data frame to reduce the sending pressure of VNC server in the process of data transition.Therefore, it is likely to cause network congestion in low-speed network environment and affect the real-time of application sharing system, so it does not have availability to using in many kinds of application. It needs to research furtherly in order to apply in low-speed network environment.In this paper, a new mechanism based on old researching is proposed to achieve application sharing in the low-speed network environment by using VNC protocol. A new mode is used in new program that receiving data from sharing server is forwarded by relay server, the entire application sharing system is divided into three parts in new mechanism, which is consists of sharing server, sharing forwarding control server and sharing client.The new mechanism proposes a new area of screen changing detection algorithm to achieve the remote desktop sharing, this solution will effectively reduce the mount of sending data, it will reduce the requirements to network bandwidth in remote video conference system at the same time. Thus, it realizes to apply the application sharing system in low-speed network environment.
