A Study On The Religious Identity And The Evolution Of Ethnic Identity In The Tibetan And Naxi

Multiple religions coexist in harmony in the same area,nationality, and even in the same family, is the most prominent religious culture characteristics in the Tibetan-Yi-Corridor three rivers flow area.The coexist of multi-ethnic and religion was famous at home and abroad because of the novel Lost Horizon by James Hilton. So the religion diversity not only has regional practical significance of harmony between various nationalities, but also the common pursuit of mankind universal significance.Therefore, the study of the multiple religions coexist in the three rivers flow area can offer an individual case to the study of the religion, ethnology and anthropology;The thinking of the origination, evolution and characteristics can enrich related discipline theory.In the aspect of practical significance,it can make reference to the government for the implementation of religious and ethnic policies.However,the research for Tibetan-Yi-Corridor three rivers flow area with multiple religions has always focused on the Salween River area, but the research for the core area of Lancang River is not so often, so the research results are rare.This study focuses on the the history and the present, research the intertexture of Tibetan and naxi religious identity and ethnic identity, and the characteristics that it change with the social and historical change, focus on the correlation of ethnic identity and religious identity in the multi-ethnic and diverse religions area, focus on correlation of the national identity, religious identity and social and historical change, pay close attention to the relevance between interaction of the national identity,religious identity and geographical, ethnic origin, kinship, economic complementarity, the cultural interaction.In order to show actually the reason and dynamics of the evolution of single nationality to multi-nationalities, one religion to religious diversity,as well as its practical significance.This article is divided into three parts, the first part is introduction, mainly a brief introduction of the reason of writing this article and the significance, the field point, research review and the research theory and methods of the paper;In the second part, the author introduces the ethnic origin of the Tibetan and the naxi nationality, and generalizes the religion situation;The third part is the most important of the article, based on the field investigation of current situation of multiple religions coexist,the author analyzes the interaction and motivation for religious identity and ethnic identity.
