Purpose: By combining acupuncture and oralling Mu Dan granule clinical efficacy on diabetic peripheral neuropathy(DPN), the effectiveness of acupuncture combined treatment of DPN, safety and therapeutic advantages of objective evaluation, selection for the clinical treatment of DPN provide a viable treatment method and provide the theoretical basis for the theory.By comparing the purely traditional Chinese medicine and acupuncture, combined with the acute phase of the clinical efficacy of herpes zoster(Qi stagnation type of) treatment and follow-up of long-term postherpetic neuralgia incidence analysis acupuncture combined treatment of acute herpes zoster(Qi stagnation and blood stasis) efficacy characteristics, provide a reference for clinical treatment. Materials and Methods:With completely randomized controlled method, 60 patients with DPN patients met the western diagnostic criteria were randomly divided into control and treatment groups.two groups of patients during the study are to be conventional diabetes treatment and care.the control group of patients with Mu Dan granule 7g / times, 3 times a day orally for the treatment; the treatment group received routine acupuncture treatment(day 1) on the basis of the control group, the observation period is 8 weeks. After the full course of treatment outcome measures recorded,by recording traditional Chinese medicine syndrome, the evaluation of the pain intensity and the velocity of the nerve conduction to evaluate treatment efficacy.the index recorded by SPSS17.0 statistical software for statistical analysis,in which the count data(by inspection of normality and homogeneity of variance satisfied) using independent samples t test, measurement(non-hierarchical) data using chi-square test, ranked data with rank-sum test for analysis. Results: 1. the two groups of patients before and after treatment: the aspects of traditional Chinese medicine syndrome, pain intensity evaluation and nerve conduction speed were significantly improved, the data results have a statistically significant difference(P <0.05), prompted two therapies for the treatment of DPN are effective. 2. the two groups of patients before and after treatment in two groups: the treatment group for traditional Chinese medicine syndrome, pain intensity and the improvement of the efficacy of nerve conduction velocity are all more effective than the control group, there is a statistically significant difference between the results of data(P <0.05), shows as compared with the control group, the efficacy of treatment group(DPN) is better. 3.the two groups of patients after treatment:the total effective rate(83.3%) of the treatment group is higher than the total effective rate(63.3%) of the control group. It shows that the clinical efficacy of the treatment group is more effective than the control group of DPN. Conclusion:Compared with simply taking Mu Dan granule, acupuncture combined with Mu Dan granule to improve the DPN syndrome of TCM,pain intensity and nerve conduction velocity is better. It can effectively improve the quality of life of the patients, with high safety, operation with advantages of convenience, deserves to be clinical application.
