Objective:To explore characteristics of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) clinical presentations in the patients of Pakinson’s Disease(PD)with defecation disorder, and the correlation between TCM syndrome elements and defecation disorder, which can provide evidence for differentiation of syndromes and treatments in Chinese Medicine. Methods:1 Researchers were trained in the same standard to collect information. Cases of PD were selected from the Beijing university of Chinese medicine Dongzhimen hospi tal between January 2014 and December 2015.174 patients were included in Parkinson’ s disease,102 PD cases were finally included in the study, whose ages vary from 40 to 90,and who is in accordance with Parkinson’s disease diagnostic criteria. In these cases, there are 44 with defecation disorder, and 58 without defecation disorder, cross-sectiona1 survey.2 according to the case of questionnaire,a database was established by Clinical eva luation of new drug of TCM research technology platform, the database content compr ehensive cover all the data on the questionnaire. Before the data entry, check whether t he case is complete, any missing pages, coding and research cases receiving records are consistent.Application SPSS 17.0 statistical processing and analysis. In order to ensure t he quality of the project smoothly and survey for each link has a strict quality contro 1.To develop clinical studies the operator manuals, notes on completing the questionnair e,a training, the cases of diagnostic criteria, inclusion criteria, exclusion criteria and clini cal information collection, evaluation of questionnaire for professional training, strict crite ria,be accurate and complete to fill in the questionnaire, and after training consistency,el igible to participate in case investigation.Through the inspection, auscultation and olfacti on, inquiry, and pulse-taking and palpation four diagnostic information collected, the Park inson’s syndrome elements scale (PD-PES-13) syndromes scores on two groups of subj ects.Measurement data to describe the mean, standard deviation, accord with normal distr ibution is compared between groups using t test, does not conform to the normal distri bution is compared between group using nonparametric test;Count data using frequency, percentage,or the proportion expression, comparison between groups using chi-square tes t.Accord with normal distribution using Pearson correlation analysis.does not conform t o the normal distribution using the Spearman correlation. The significance of various in spection were set to p<0.05.Results:1 In the scores of TCM symptoms, scores of elements of encephala reduce are highest in both two groups, then liver wind and qi deficiency.Otherwise, scores of elements of yang deficiency, blood deficiency and yang hyperactivity are lower.2 The frequnercies of TCM syndrome elements ofdefecation disorder group are as follows:liver wind (72.72%),encephala reduce (63.63%),qi deficiency (52.27%),yin defici ency(52.27%),kidney deficiency (43.18%),spleen deficiency (43.18%),internal thermal(38. 63%),yang hyperactivity(25.00%),turbid phlegm(20.45%),blood deficiency(13.63%),yang deficiency (11.36%),blood stasis(9.09%).Another group:liver wind(75.86%),encephala red uce (58.62%),qi deficiency(55.17%),kidney deficiency(48.27%),yin deficiency(41.38%),int ernal thermal(37.93%),turbid phlegm(25.86%),yang deficiency(20.69%),spleen deficiency (17.24%),yang hyperactivity(15.52%),blood deficiency(13.79%),blood stasis(8.62%).By ch i-square test,in patients with Parkinson’s disease, defecation disorder spleen deficiency ra tio is higher than without defecation disorder(p=0.004).3 In the PD patients with defecation disorder, there is a positive correction between encephala reduce and H&Y stage(P=0.012).4 In the PD patients with defecation disorder, encephala reduce, liver wind and UPDRS score has a positive correlation(P respectively 0.023,0.009). Conclusion:1 Spleen deficiency in patients with Parkinson’s disease with defecation dysfunction may be affected.2 With the development of the disease, the syndrome of encephala reduce of the P D patients with defecation disorder also gradually increase.3 With the increase of Unified Parkinson’s Disease Rating Scale score, encephala reduce and liver wind aggravate gradually.
