| Objective:to objectively and systematically collect and sum up professor Piao’s clinical experience and academic thought on the prevention and treatment for RE, in order to find an effective treatment of radiation enteritis,and to inherit and carry forward distinguished veteran TCM doctor’s valuable experience and benefit patients,Methods:This study was carried out from three aspects:literature review, conclusion on experience, and clinical observations.1 Literature review:Firstly, through retrieving and reading TCM literature, ancient and modern literature research situation of RE was systematically reviewed and analyzed from the aspect of etiology, pathogenesis, treatment principle and therapy, etc. Systematic review and analysis of ancient and modern literatures on the research in this disease were carried out, among which particular emphasis on treatment progress was performed. Secondly, through retrieving and reading modern medical literature in recent years, its research progress was reviewed from pathophysiology, diagnosis and treatment, etc. in order to fully understand the treatment progress of Chinese and Western medicine for RE.2 Conclusion on experience:professor Piao’s medical records of RE in Guang’anmen Hospital China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences from Jan.2013 to Jan.2016 were collected. By means of data mining, pattern differentiation and medication information were collected, and disease pattern distribution and administration frequency, etc. were summed up, in order to figure out professor Piao’s pattern differentiation and medication thoughts of this disease. Through the statement of professor Piao, his treatment experience and academic thought was objectively discussed.3 Clinical observation:From the Guang’anmen hospital clinics and wards collected from September 2014 to February 2016 radiation enteritis were randomly divided into treatment group and control group,14 days for a course of treatment, the total efficiency by observing the patients before and after treatment, the body state evaluation, several aspects of quality of life assessment, symptom score assessment and safety evaluation to assess patient outcomes.Results:1. Through systematic review of RE in Chinese medicine and Western medicine, this study found that the current treatment of this disease still lacks systematic and specific methods, and the efficacy is often unsatisfactory, but experts and scholars are still trying to explore effective treatment.2. Through this study, professor Piao’s pattern differentiation thought for the disease is summed up:The disease is a deficiency-excess complex pattern. For excess pattern, it is characterized by internal damage due to heat toxin; while for deficiency, it is manifested with spleen deficiency and dampness exuberance, spleen-kidney deficiency and sinking of spleen qi, etc., wherein patients have both excess and deficiency patterns. The key to pattern differentiation is to deficiency differentiation. And professor Piao’s reatment of the disease common base prescription "enteritis prescription:shenghuangqi,taizishen,chenpi,chaoshanzha,chaoshenqu,chaomaya,shengyiyire n,tufuling,chaobaizhu,fuling,shanzhuyu,yizhiren,shenggancao,baihuasheshecao,zhike,nvzhenz i,yanhusuo,etc.and combined these medicinals according to the accompanying symptoms.3. Through clinical observation confirmed that prescription previously describedcombination therapy there is always more efficient than western medicine alone (P <0.05); the combination therapy group KPS increased rate than comparison group (P<0.05); the treatment group of symptoms integral fell less than in the control group (P<0.05), evaluation of the quality of life of both groups increased, but no significant difference, (P> 0.05).Conclusion:This study objectively and fully sums up professor Piao’s pattern differentiation thought and clinical experience in order to inherit and carry forward that, relieve pain for more patients, improve cure rate of RE and improve patients’ quality of life. |
