Email is an important Internet aplication.With the fast development of Internet application services, the early email system, which based on open and trusted structure, has come up against the serious problem of extensibility and security.Traditional email system can not afford huge number of user, while lots of email virus and spam not only waste resources of email server,but also do harm to the stability and security of email server and PC. Therefore, security and high-performance of email system has been an active area of study.Firstly, this paper analyses the aims and architecture of email system security, describes security risks the email system faceing and the character of security technology used in current email system. Based on above jobs, the author provides a security framework of email system and designs a sub-system of email security.Secondly, this paper explains the character of email virus, current anti-virus technology and products, analyses the specific requirements for anti-virus mechanism in high performace email system. On the bases of email anti-virus technology in existence, in order to improve the performance of scanning and stop email virus, this paper introduces some high performace technic such as parallelism and load balance used in cluster system into the anti-virus sub system, puts forward a new techology to dynamically reset the Weight of LVS based on the load of nodes in cluster, and provides a detail implementation of the anti-virus sub system.lastly, the paper summarizes the major work, and brings forward the work to do in the future.
