Along with the constantly update of the mobile telephone network, the categoryof the operation it supports is more and more. Mobile is not only a communicationtool; it is also a tool that can be used for multiple functions communication anddata processing. As a result, the space needed to run application and store data islarger and larger than before. Although lots of people have not deemed that thespace of mobile phone is too small, but along with the update of the digital camera,digital video, personal PDA, MP3 and other handle mobile digital devices, the storespace people need becomes larger. The appearance of the mini-disk will solve thisproblem. Mini-disk actually is the combination of the FLASH and traditional harddisk. It has the strongpoint of FLASH, light and small size, in fact it is a mini-diskdiminished, but its capacity is several times or decuple times than flash's.In my text, I Depend on the features of the disk and CPU and powerful functionsof the WINCE, we implement the disk on the handle device.In the chapter one and chapter two, we mainly discuss the actuality of the storageof the handle device and the possibility of the mini-disk's implementation on thehardle device. According to the discussion, we make conclusion that the mini-diskcan be implemented on the PDA. In this partition, I also introduce the softwareenviroment of the mini-disk implementation, Windows Mobile system based on theWindows CE, about its origin and its system architecture.In the chapter three and four, I researched the hardware system depend on thefeatures of the PXA27x CPU and mini-disk, and implement the mini-disk throughthe two voltage conversion chips connected between the CF card interface of theCPU and mini-disk.In this part, I also researched the configuration of the CF cardinterface and GPIO. We control the mini-disk's data read and write through thepins include the PIOR, PIOW, POE, PWAIT, IOIS16 as so on. In the meantime, Iintroduced how we can set the GPIO pin's direction, alternate function and pinlevel by the example of the configuration of GPDR.And then, we achieve the mini-disk's software implementation.
