In the 21st Century, as China joined World Trade Organization (WTO) , the domestic enterprise is facing an important development opportunity and challenge. The management mode of enterprise in China is backward, information degree is not high, and so is personnel management. Management information is becoming more and more important in the modern society, which emphasizes information and management. With the rapid development of computer science, Management Information System (MIS) has been more and more widely used in enterprise by the end of the 20th century. Now, integrity, network, practicability and personality have become mainstreams of MIS development and application. So it is extremely urgent for us to research and develop the MIS, which complies with the personnel management mode of domestic enterprise.This thesis discussed a personnel management project which bases on data connection rule. By making full use of the trait of agility and high efficiency of the popular PowerBuilder database management system now, adopting the method of facing to object and construction design of software project, we researched and developed the Personnel Management Information System (PMIS). Comparing with the other systems, our PMIS is high integration, efficiency, practicability, speed and simple.This thesis discussed the development method and process of PMIS. We described the meaning of this project and analyzed method and environment of MIS, the adopted method of construction design, facing to object and the tool of PowerBuilder8.0 in the first chapter. Then we discussed the analysis and design of PMIS and the design and realization of data-base in the second chapter. In the third chapter, the realization and code of system, difficulty and method, application of data piping was discussed. The summary and prospect are described in the last.
