In the early years of this century, the problems of farmer, country, and agriculture aroused the attention of the leaders of the central committee of Chinese Communist Party under whose leadership the state has commenced on adjusting the policy of farmer, country and agriculture. The circle of the media follows the example.,The peasant newspaper, once the main force of the reporting of farmer, country and agriculture experienced a process of degradation from prosperity and then slumped into another depression after the foundation of People's Republic of China. When the new century came, the peasant newspaper further relapsed into another depression, which has impacted the propaganda of farmer, country and agriculture of the state. The renaissance of the peasant newspaper and its service for farmer, country and agriculture has come forth as an emergency question before the theoreticiansCompared with TV and radio and other newspapers, the languish of the peasant newspaper covers all the subjects on all the dimensions, the circulation, the gross of advertisements, and the impact on the readers. The languish of the peasant newspaper is due to the complicated and multiplex factors which involve the government's ignorance on farmer, country and agriculture and the accumulated defects of the peasant newspaper.The fragility of the peasant newspaper results in the weak study of it among thetheoreticians. In the present, the study of the field focuses on the management and the administration of the peasant newspaper and barely deals with the characters of reporting, the tendency of the reporters' attitude and the analysis of the readers. In 1990 *s, systematic researches had been done on the analysis and summarizing of the categories, reporting and edition, circulation and the advertisement of the peasant newspaper. The subsequent researches aren't as systematic as what had been done, and are mainly on the individual samplesThe paper analyzes the exterior and the essence of what restricts the prosperity of the peasant newspaper macroscopically on consideration of politics, economy and culture and microscopically on the interior system and the routine management of the peasant newspaper. Then suggestions are given on how the peasant newspaper can get free from the trouble in macroscopic and microscopic way. The paper is dominated by demonstrative analyses and supported by enormous statistics and examples with necessary theoretic presentation.The paper consists of five parts. The first part gives a general introduction of the contemporary time; the second part describes the question of farmer, country and agriculture; the third part illuminates the features of depression of the peasant newspaper; the fourth part demonstrates the factors that restrict the prosperity of the peasant newspaper and the last part gives the advice on how the peasant newspaper can get free from the trouble.
