Wideband amplifier, realized by the technology of automatic gain control (AGC), is used widely in radar system and other correlative electronic fields.The design and realization of AGC wideband amplifier based on FGGA and Programmable Gain Amplifier were discussed in detail in this thesis. At first, the thesis provided some realizing methods of the sampling feedback and digitally controlled parts of the AGC wideband amplifier, and demonstrated the feasibility of these methods according to applications and performances. Then, the thesis discussed the proceeding of the simulating channel part, digitally sampling module, FPGA logically controlled module and AD/DA module, including their chips, realization and notice. At last, the function of FPGA logically controlled module was analyzed concretely. The design and simulation of its sub-modules were realized based on the platforms of Xilinx ISE and Modelsim.The circuit designed in the thesis could output comparatively flat signal wave, and amply signals with bandwidth of high to 40M. It also could choose between automatic gain and fixed gain. When the former was chosen, the change of gain would come true by the synchro pulse, which was supplied by the cycle inside the system or outside the system.
