The purpose of network optimization is to analyze the system according to its actual behavior and performance. On this basis, the higher performance of the system and optimum network service quality are achieved by adjusting the parameters of system.The main technical indexes of CDMA network are analyzed and the requirement of the important performance indexes is present. Drive test about some performance index of the existing network has been carried out before the optimization of radio network. Detailed analysis and explanation of the cause to each result are given, and a concrete optimization method is present through the analysis of the test result.Firstly, the radio subsystem is systematically optimized. According to the principle of the optimization of CDMA radio network and the concrete analysis of various kinds of situations such as Dropped Call, Access Failure,Handoff Failure and FER, the capacity of BS, channel configuration and antenna configuration are re-arranged rationally. According to drive test, the post analysis of CDMA is carried out. As a result, several important test results, such as the FFER, Forward Ec/Io, Rx power and Tx power are achieved.Then, combining the data of actual testing, an overall analysis and optimization emphasis on the switching subsystem is described. With the analyse of the existing problems of the switching network and the contrast of the actual value and theoretical value, the ringing time and paging time are adjusted, which reduces the call setup failure rate and improves the access rate and the call response rate greatly. The adjustment for SCI and T10 resolved un-matching parameters in network by different manufacturing companies and promote the quality of service of the switching network. At the same time, SMS trouble is investigated and analysed and a project is put forward which can solve the trouble obviously. Through the optimization of switching subsystem, the quality of service and the stability of system and the whole system performance are improved.
