In this paper, several data cache models are collected and analyzed, the conception, classification and characteristics of data cache technologies are generalized and summaried. The writer gives a brief introduction to the current achievements and application of various data cache systems in MIS. A distributed data cache systems based on cache network in this paper is proposed so as to improve the performance of data cache system and the retrieve efficiency of the networks by reducing the user-perceived latency, balancing load, and reducing the total number of access requests to server. The main point of the data cache system is to set up data cache section in each node of network and to realize unified allocation and management of the cache sections. After analyzing characteristics of data caching, several solutions to problem of cache coherence are offered and a new directory lists method is designed for the cache system. The writer then proceeds to analyze relative issues about the cache model and offer solutions to these problems. The major issues include replacement algorithm, route strategy, management of cache network, and prefetch technique, etc. The replacement algorithm makes use of availability of cache object called serviceability of multimode variable and scale so as to get higher hit ratio. Route strategy in this paper is based on the application layer,instead of network layer, referring to the idea of route algorithm in network layer. For the purpose of saving resources and raising efficiency, route lists and directory lists are combined, with both route strategy and cache coherence taken into account. In addition, prefetch technique is used in the model to improve system performance. Through analyzing the performance of the cache system, the results show that the performance of client/server network with the cache system will be greatly improved. In addition, the advanced research for the value and the foreground of the retrieve system of the higher capacity database is done, such as the cache system model with current MIS, especially bibliography management in library, machine account management and file management, and so on.
