Because the irrigated area is big in scale, the compass of competency is wide, personnel have weak technical force, how to show the running situation of the engineering irrigation building real-timely, ocularly, realize the decision foundation allocated in information-based management of irrigated area, engineering construction and water resource.Virtual reality technology is a kind of comprehensive computer figure technology, the latest technology that many kinds of disciplines, such as artificial intelligence, emulation technology, etc. It is formed the fictitious environment of three-dimensional information by computer hardware, software and various kinds of sensors, create one for user and reflect entity's target's change and interactive 3-D view world in real time by way of imitating, in is it perceive lifelike experience of behavior to look at, hear, touch, take a sniff at, participant can explore fictitious target role in environment of living in and change directly, seem to place oneself in the midst of one fictitious world. So, apply to study in irrigated area emulation virtual reality technology and come to display the operation state of the engineering irrigation building through the real-time emulation of the three-dimension, not only has offered the scientific means for the thing that the irrigated area is managed, but also investment is small, so comparatively economic and feasible.This text combines the types and characteristics of the model in the three-dimensional scene of irrigated area, through analyzing that the characteristic of the visual technology of the three-dimension selects every technology used while studying.
