With the development of computer network technology, the network security system based on firewall and intrusion detection system (IDS) does not prevent from hacker's intrusion. We need a new information security technology, which enable information system maintain a sustainable service after intrusions occur . This is called survivability technology. The present research about survivable systems is absence of whole viewpoints and concrete designs for system architecture. In this paper, the author focus on survivability of large complex critical information system in a intrusion-response perspective. The author adopt both a system-wide view and a local-wide view. System design idea , which is the one regarding survivability as control , has its origin in the survivability specification proposed by Knight etc, University of Virginia. The author design a hierarchical, distributed, multiple model control based on the architecture of large information system by taking a system-wide view. This control model supports scalability through local control and the passing of aggregated status information up and down a hierarchy. Furthermore, the structure of the control comp- onent is devised by taking a local-wide view .Since our research target is large complex critical information system in unbounded networks, aiming their features we introduce mobile agent technology in the design scheme. When the information system is attacked, the control system dispatches many kinds of mobile Agent to the controlled system. These Agents communicate with each other, collaborate , and reconfigure the system to improve the survivability of the system.During the implement of the prototype, the author finish the automated response functions including system supervision, information collection, system reconfiguration.
