Design & Implementation Of Soft Handoff Between WASs In CDMA 2000 Based On IP

This project discusses the problems about soft handoff between WASs in IP-based CDMA. It includes the reconstruction and realization on A3A7, and the study and realization of Select and Distribute Module. The soft handoff is one of the key technologies in CDMA, and it reduces the call-drop frequency. The soft handoff between BSs is a important part in soft handoff and BS.This paper first discusses the development of the Third Mobile Communication. The former of cdma2000 lx Digital Cellular Mobile Communication system based on IP packet switching network and Wireless Access Server is provided later.Because CMT is based on IP packet switching network, it's configuration isn't same as traditional CDMA and the opening of A3 A7, the design of soft handoff on FCH between WASs is reconstructed on the base of standard, considering the trait of CMT and the compatibility on A3A7 interface.The high speed packet is transmitted on the physical channel not same as voice, so the general rules for the soft handoff of high speed packet data is: remove before establish. The design and realization are based on the rule above.SDM in CMT not only finish selection and distribution, but also finish feedback and eliminate wobble brought by IP network. This paper presents the design and realization of arithmetic.
