The Design And Implementation Of The Remote Information Backup System On Wap Mobile Phone

With the development of hardware of mobile devices and network communication technologies, providing various value-added services for traditional mobile communications on mobile platforms has been becoming a new developing hotspot.Mobile phone can be interlinked into the Internet through GPRS technology. Using exiting network resources and integrating mobile phones with the Internet makes information connection not only break away from the confine of information source but also from the location of connecter. At the same time, with the popularization of all kinds of high performance mobile telephones, they all have functions of accessing the Internet through GPRS and contain certain extent data storage abilities. Like common PC user's requirement, mobile users also hope to backup some important data stored on mobile phones. So the information can be easily restored in time from the remote backup system when the mobile phone is lost or broken. To some users, the original memory space of mobile phone couldn't satisfy their' requirements, then they need third party to provide additional data storage space. Nowadays, to mobile users, the information of telephone book may be the most important thing on mobile telephones.According to the universal service based market application and technology means mentioned on above, this paper provides a backup system of phone book for all kinds of mobile telephone platform by using WAP communication technology. A client of mobile phone based on Symb i an operating system (Nokia6600 is debug in process of exploitation) is implemented as well.
