How to accurately reproduce and reappear color have always been an important subject. In order to realize loyally reproducing of the original, this subject regards open color management as guidelines, and realizes whole course of color management from scanner input to printer output.Gray balance curves have been effectively used for proofreading computer I/O devices on the basis of investigating the color distortion of I/O devices. The algorithms for modeling of converting I/O devices color space have been investigated. Twenty-term polynomial regression algorithm and neural network algorithm have been used for converting input device color space; combining GCR basic method, GCR formula, UCR method and GCR black curve, Twenty-term polynomial regression algorithm has been used for converting output device color space, and have achieved the good result. In order to solve the disaccord of color gamut in the course of converting of the color information among different devices, the segment maxima method for calculating gamut boundary descriptors is used to describe the color gamut boundary of color jet ink printer in CIE LAB color space, present an new algorithm combining space analytic geometry to realize the gamut mapping for color jet ink printer, and has been proved it has good practical value.The thesis is of great value to the further research on the Color Management System (CMS).
