Design And Implement Of A Forum MIS

The popularization of microcomputers accelerates the wide application and rapid development of computer network. Supported by information techniques such as computer system,communication technique,database,network technique, etc, the MIS (Management Information Systems) has more and more important application in system engineering including system layout,analysis,design and implementation. The MIS has become a current research focus in the field of MIS (Management Information Systems).A forum MIS development scheme based on Browser/Server (B/S) with the open interface of Client/Server(C/S) is presented in this paper.In respect that UNIX, a famous Network Operation System (NOS), can afford a safe and stable running guarantee for all the network services related to other NOS, we choose PHP as web page script, which has high efficiency and is easy to be programmed for the communication with database. Apache, which has a possessing ratio of more than 70% in the global server market is a famous WWW server software with high popularity and security. MySQL database has gained clients' trust because of its high access speed and stability and become the preferred choice of medium or mini-sized corporations. PHP,Apache and MySQL are well- known for their free distribution which is also one of the reasons for their popularity in Internet.First of all, the dissertation expatiates the correlative theory and design approach of MIS. Then the design scheme of framework of forum MIS is presented. Design strategy of background database,research of security and the implement of query optimization are also discussed. Finally the software design of the whole website and the key correlative technology are detailed.The most advanced techniques up to now are used in the development of this forum. The interfaces of the different software had been optimized, for example, the access speed optimization for PHP in Apache and the optimization for MySQL in PHP. All the function of the forum are achieved in FreeBSD, a kind of UNIX operating system.One month of test by the whole lab personnel demonstrates that this forum MIS has very stable performance and complete function. It can be widely applied to laboratory, corporation and enterprise as the information exchange and people-communicating site. The database security and software design techniques of this forum MIS can be a valuable reference of other MIS.
