The Application Of Web Services In Digital Video Surveillance System

In selected industries, such as Finance, Insurance, and Travel, companies are already beginning to tap into the power of Web Services. This paper focuses on how Web Services can revolutionize the digital video surveillance system.According to the characteristics of Web Services, this paper redefines the current digital video surveillance system. First we define the roles in the surveillance system and its responsibilities,then we use XML Schema to define the data format and simplify the key process. At last, we define a series of web services as the interface for communication between the roles of surveillance system. The use of Web Services will make the surveillance system to be more easily integrated, more deployable and more flexible.In this paper, the first and second chapters introduce some challenge about the Web Services and some relevant technologies. After the second chapter, it introduces our work, the third chapter introduces the surveillance system that defined by using Web Services, and the following chapters are an implementation. Finally this paper summarizes all innovation, bug and prospect.
