The schedule of the product line, which is an important part of the manufacturing system design, is closely related with the efficiency of product line equipment and efficiency of the product line. There is much schedule in a group of tasks, thus, how to evaluate whether the schedule is good or bad is realized through simulation. To simplify the scheduling model, there are certain suppose in schedule. However, in practical production, there are various events which are not accord with the supposition of schedule, therefore, it is necessary to make use of simulations to ensure normally production when gusty events happen. Based on the intention, the simulation of product line is developed in this paper.Production workshop simulation is based on the method of object-oriented and multi-thread technology in this paper. Production capacity of product lines, properties of product lines under different scheduling strategies and adjusting ability of product lines are forecasted in this simulation software before production.The concepts of simulation, the applications of simulations in manufacturing and properties of object-oriented simulations are discussed firstly in this paper. Then, the requirement is analyzed as well as the framework of the software. And then objects in product line are analyzed by object-oriented method in detail. Simulation arithmetic of discrete events is discussed as well. In addition, the text output method of the software is discussed. Finally, a simple example is used to explain and verify the developed software system.
