A Research to the Classification of Periodicals in Art Designing--The category of environmental art designingDiscussing and setting up the standard of art designing periodicals by collecting and classifying the list and content of published art designing periodicals (the category of environmental art designing) in order to solve the problem in promotion, application for academic topic, and application for prizes. To supplement the research in this area, and offer authoritative assistance to library science and art designing.The object to this issue is the 96 published periodicals (there ara 52Architecture design journals; 8 Landscape design journals; 14 plan design journals ; 22 indoor design journals) in environmental art designing.First, the preliminary evaluation to all the periodicals by marking. The "Quantification" step is done by marking in seven items to. 59 periodicals are selected.Second, all the selected periodicals are further studied in order to do analysis and comparative research to the thesises published, and the published thesises on every periodical are read and discussed, given brief evaluation, 30 core periodicals and first-grade periodicals are selected. Second-grade periodicals: 29.Step 3, 10 first-grade periodicals are selected.Step 4, 20 core periodicals are selected, which are of the highest qual i ty.Conclusions: Among all the Chinese periodicals in environment designing, Core (Authorative) periodicals: 20; first-grade (Important) periodicals: 10; second-grade (Average) periodicals: 29. The method of this research can be looked on as the basis of evaluation to Chinese periodicals in environment designing for being scientific, objective and cautious. Meanwhile, evaluation is complicated and systematic, the feasibility and quality of this method is to be discussed, and further research is needed.
