This paper summarizes the current technologies in the domain of fire auto detect & alarm system, sums up the advantages and disadvantages of all kinds of fire auto alarm control system, puts forward a novel fire auto alarm control system based on CAN-BUS, and details the principle and structure of the system. The principle of communication-board which key part is Philips 8 bit single-chip microcontroller 80C652 is especially discussed, and the hardware schematics and software flow charts of communication-board are put forward.The paper discusses the pivotal techniques of the system-the communication techniques of CAN-BUS and I2C-BUS systemic and particular, Sums up several important problems that were confronted and solved in the course of design. In CAN-BUS communication technique, the circuit design method of CAN-BUS node and the technique of structuring distributed CAN-BUS controlling network are put forward, how to realize CAN calling and broadcasting communication under PeliCAN mode is explained thoroughly, and the computational technique of bit-timing parameter of CAN controller SJA1000 is detailed. In I2C-BUS communication technique, the principle is introduced; the design of I2C-BUS node, the structure of I2C-BUS control network and the design of I2C-BUS application in fire alarm control system are explained thoroughly.It is showed by practical running that the system has the strongpoint such as big capacity, long distance and high speed of communication and easily connecting to network, and therefore will have a good market. Finally, the work of the paper and the next work of perfecting the system are summarized, and the prospect of fire detect & alarm technology is forecasted.
