Before the application of 3D scientific visualization, a two-dimensional and static method was often adopted to express the result of the analysis and interpreting of geological data. This makes it difficult to know the geological conditions directly, completely and accurately. Three dimensional geoscience modeling use the technology of scientific visualization to reproduce the information of stratum, which straightforwardly depicts the complicate underground structure. This paper puts forward the showing ways and the modeling algorithms for the familiar geologic bodies such as terrane, fold and faultage. The calculation of the intersection curve of terrane and faultage is a key to model faultage .To solve this problem, moving method and extending method are presented. This paper discusses the formation algorithm of a terrane with folds. To form a fold with less lean, triangulation from scattered points in space and surface reconstruction are used. To form a fold that has superposition along z-axis, the single-value surfaces that compose the fold should be constructed separately and assembled later. By knowing the surface information of the geologic bodies, the planar section map and three-dimensional section map can be generated along arbitrary directions, which reflect the outer profile and inner structure of the geologic bodies.
