The direct torque control theory is a kind of new control method after vector control theory in AC control field. It calculates and controls the torque and the flux of AC electromotor in stator coordinate using the voltage space vector. Adopting the stator magnetism field direction method, it recurs to discrete Pang-pang control producing Pulse Width Modulation signal and controls the switch state of the transductor when better quality steady-state performance is produced. Because complicated vector transform and the math model in AC drive is deduced, the method has the performance of quick reaction and design.This paper introduces the direct torque control theory in detail and uses SIMULINK and Power System Blockset in MATLAB building the direct torque control simulation model about asynchronous AC drive. It also introduces the development about direct torque control theory and practice about many kinds of control methods in direct torque control theory. For example, the non-linearity theory, nerve network control theory, fuzzy control theory are applied in the direct torque control theory. It uses Visual Basic 6.0 to develop the corresponding and watching program on the upper computer about direct torque control system of asynchronous induction motor. The program can finish the data transfer between the upper computer and lower controller, and show the data from upper controller in real time. It designs simply the lower controller, makes out the whole scheme and analyses some potential problem.
