Based on current departure system and existing flaw in structure and security problem, the popular 3-tiered structure and the advanced recognizing technology for face, ID Card and X-ray photograph is used to develop new system: Departure and Passengers-Recognizing System (DPRS). This paper is divided into four parts as following:The first part: Foreword. In this part, the current status of Chinese civil aviation and the existing defect in departure system are investigated. Furthermore, foreground and purpose of developing this system is shown.The second part: System introduction. In this part, the departure and passengers-recognizing system in Shuangliu International Airport, Chengdu, is shown as an example, then the flow of departure and status of passengers are described. Finally, the environment of the system and subsystems are depicted in detail.The third part: Designation and Realization of the system based on 3-tiered structure. Taking C/S/S as framework, the realization of every tier is discussed as followings:1. Theory of 3-tiered structure and design and realization of data tier. On theemphasis of 2-tiered and 3-tiered structure, architecture theory of system is introduced. On the contrast of 2-tiered and 3-tiered structure, C/S/S is used in DPRS. Based on analysis of data involved in DPRS, the E-R model for data of passengers, escaped criminals and users is built.2. Function tier. Firstly, based on the theory of OOA/OOD, the inner structure of function tier is designed. Secondly, TCP/IP protocol is used to connect applied tier and function tier and the flux between them is controlled. At last, the data access technology such as ADO, OLE DB, ODBC and DAO is compared and ADO is selected to access the database.3. Modulization of applied tier. After introducing the development of the programming based on component, the principle of COM is expatiated in the paper. Take example for subsystem of security-checking, ATL is used to realize the applied tier.The fourth part: Summarizes the paper and prospects the applied value of DPRS.
