In this thesis we analyzed the present situation of Computer Aided Design of Injection Molding both in China and overseas. In order to meet the requirements of Chinese plants in practice, We developed the FSCAD of the feed system based on the theory of the flowing behavior of plastic melt.The interface and program codes of FSCAD were made by using the interaction of VC++6.0 and ObjectARX. The abundant MFC databases of VC++6.0 and database classes of AutoCAD 2000 were fully utilized. The debugged program can be run on the AutoCAD platform. Meanwhile,ODBC technology was also employed in order to reach the efficient link with outer database. The fundamental functions of FSCAD are as follows:First, calculation of the optimal cavities was achieved. Depended on the different practical situation, the certain cavity value can be gotten through the desirable calculated method and the values of different injection parts can be determined. Second, using ODBC as an interface, the application program can visit and use the data of outer database conveniently. Third, the inputted parameters can drive the drawing program to accomplish the drawing of feed system. Fourth, the related styles of the cavity layout can be unfolded to the user directly by means of bitmaps and therefore can offer the assistance to the designer.
