The belt drive experiment is very important to engineering students in learning the curricula of "machine design" and "machine design foundation" . Through the experiment the students can comprehend the principle of the belt drive and understand the operate performance of the test-bed, creating good foundation of the application later. But the original belt drive test-bed in the laboratory don't adapt to the request of the reform in education for its inaccuracy and inefficiency, so the laboratory established the projects of reforming the test-beds. The method and process of the reform are discussed in detail in this thesis which based on the projects.According to the current condition of the laboratory and the request of the projects, this paper analyses and contrasts some reform project, then using the microcomputer and single chip computer constitutes the two stage control system. The microcomputer is used to monitor the whole system and reprocess the data. The single chip computer which is the center of the whole control system is used to collect and process the data, adjust the speed of the AC electromotor and control the magnetic brake. Therefore the remodeled test-bed is modern equipment which integrated with machinery, electricity and control system.For saving the cost of the reform, both circuit board and interface of the single chip computer are designed independently. This thesis not only fully discusses the constitution and designed process but also introduces how to use single chip computer, transducer and speed sensor to consist the closed-loop control system which regulates the speed of AC motor and how to use single chip computer, magnetic brake and load sensor to consist the closed-loop control system which regulates the load of the magnetic brake. For the practical and applied system, the reliability is very important. So the electromagnetic compatibility of the whole system is analyzed from hardware to softwarein this paper, and the appropriate measure is taken to all kinds of interference to make the whole system operate safely and steadily.
