Research On Web Application Based On J2EE And MVC Mode

Recently, Electronic Commerce has already been generally interested by the whole world. It is not only a simple application in commerce fields, but also a kind of new commerce mode. Its expansibility completely changes the traditional commerce mode and brings about a new economy revolutionary. The development of Electronic Commerce has become a great challenge to the traditional web technologies. As Electronic Commerce is such a system with much complexity in inside logic and constant variety in commerce forms, it requires web technologies to possess enough complexity and flexibility to meet the demands of Electronic Commerce.MVC(ModeI-View-Control), as a design pattern, was proposed by Xerox PARC for Smalltalk-80 in 1980's. It realizes the separation of logic layers and view layers in theory, which is very important to web application developing. J2EE (Java2 Enterprise Edition) standard, founded by Sun Microsystems in 1999, contains a whole suit of standards and criterions for enterprise level application. It has many virtues, such as independence of platform, easy expansibility and good security, which make it very popular in IT industry. JSP, a standard of dynamic web technology, developed by Sun Microsystems, also has excellent competence in platform independence, good security, etc. Developing of web application based on JSP, Servlet and EJB in MVC design pattern has great superiorities in the constructions of Electronic Commerce.This paper introduces idea of MVC pattern, emphases the combination of J2EE and MVC pattern, and provides a kind of method for developing enterprise level application based on J2EE and MVC. It realizes a system of a virtual online bookstore and discusses developing steps and related technologies in details. The system has many characteristics, such as clearness in designation, effect in modularity, easiness in expansibility and so on.The first chapter is the exordium, which introduces the signification of the study and the current tendency of web application research in the world. The 2nd chapter introduces C/S and B/S system constructions of softwaredeveloping, and the outline of MVC pattern. The 3rd chapter, as the important part of this paper, thoroughly discusses the web developing method based on J2EE and MVC pattern. In the foundation of explaining and analyzing key technologies in details, such as JSP, Servlet, EJB, it provides a kind of method for developing enterprise level application based on J2EE and MVC pattern. The 4th chapter realizes a system of a virtual online bookstore and discusses the system designation and software developing. The 5th chapter shows integrating and running of the system, and emphasizes the configuration and deployment of web server and EJB server. The last chapter summarizes the implementation of perfect designation and the solution of key problems, and points out the direction in system promotions.It is a beneficial reference to similar research on Electronic Commerce.
