Application of Distributed Object Technique of Three-Tier B/S ArchitectureThe article introduces features of both traditional technique and Distributed Object technique for developing information system. It points out the similarities and differences between the two and illustrates the principle of Distributed Object technique. Based on the application of COM/DCOM/COM+ which is Microsoft Distributed Application Developing Framework, the thesis describes how to apply Distributed Object developing to a real project: Management System of Device&Lab of Soochow University.By listing implementation procedures of some important transactions, the author describes in detail about the design of middleware of the system and puts forward the creative idea of designing Component-Inforbase. This case study shows developing model of distributed application and features of distributed database. The author strongly suggests Multi-tier B/S development framework in order to archive super maintainability and extensibility of information system.
