With the rapid development the society and science, people begin to know that the life of equipment is not only lie on the process of manufacture but also lie on the maintenance during the running time. Enterprises can win the market by debasing the price and receive reward by aftermarket service. Therefore, the service and maintenance level of products have become the critical of the enterprise's profit and credit.Remote maintenance decision is a new technology of maintenance combined with modern communication technology, computer technology and fault diagnostics etc. It diagnoses and controls remote equipment by the computer communication network. At the same time, it helps to maintain the device and solve the faults. Through the remote maintenance decision, equipment maintenance can break the limit of traditional maintenance in resource, method and place, realize the limitless share of maintenance resource and method in time and space.This paper has researched the Decision Support System based on internet and developed a suit of systemic remote maintenance Decision Support System (DSS). The paper also introduces the model management based on components in the remote distributed maintenance DSS and the optimization and dynamic management of the maintenance craft arrangement.The main contents of this paper are as follows:(1) The paper discusses the definition, structure, principium and functions of remote distributed maintenance DSS based on internet. In addition, it introduces the safety strategy and implement method of system should be adopted in remote maintenance DSS simply.(2)The paper introduces the principium of model management based on components and the principium, method and implement process of the model's distributed using and management in the remote distributed maintenance DSS.(3) The paper discusses the optimization and dynamic management of the maintenance craft arrangement through network planning technique.(4) Develop a suit of systemic remote maintenance DSS. This system is based on a three-tier distributed structure of "Browser/Application Server/Database Server". It is developed using the dynamic web pages technique ASP and background database Microsoft SQL Server 2000. This system implements the important functions such as maintenance model decision, maintenance type decision, maintenance craft arrangement and maintenance database and modelbase management.
