The technology of image measuring with two cameras is based on cyber-vision and develops from it. Because all the process of measure is automatic and the data processing and the output of result is accomplished on a computer, it gives an new method for the developing of modern technology, especially the advanced manufacture technology and automatic technology.Firstly, this paper puts forward the concept of image segmentation. Study and analyze ordinary methods about* image segmentation, which includes edge detection bilevelu^ edge joining and so on.And then the paper analyzes the technology of demarcating single pickup camera thoroughly which is a chiefly problem in the technology of image measuring with two cameras. A method to demarcate pickup camera's focus is been given in this paper. During the process of designing programs for demarcating a pickup camera, the author puts forward a new method for joining the edges of a image to form lines based on the least square algorithm. The testing result shows that the technology is simple but effective.At last, the study describes a new reconstruction method by stereo vision using projective geometry. Three-dimensional dot and line can be reconstructed. Aiming at a difficulty of stereo vision, a new image matching method is proposed. Furthermore the author designs an image measuring system with two cameras based on the reconstruction method and the matching method. The testing result shows basic theory of the system is absolutely right and its design scheme is feasible. .
