Applying Data Mining In Testing Information Analysis

There is much educational process information in the testing information. Using the data mining to analysis the testing information, we can make the information in the education process clear. In this paper, with SPSS Clementine, we use the data mining method to analysis the test questions of a high middle school, in order to give learners and teachers individual guidance and help.For learners, according to his test result and learning disabilities, we can recommend some practice to help the learner to acquire knowledge points and achieve teaching objectives. On the other hand, for teachers, we can use test results to find the information of papers, test questions and learners in order to get feedback of teaching. Specifically, there are three aspects in the data mining analysis of information on the test:The first aspect is to recommend test questions to the learner. We can get the correlation between test questions with the data mining association rules of test questions, and then recommend some individualized test questions to the learner. According to the test questions to which the learner give wrong answers, we can recommend some test questions of the same type or with some correlations. With the test questions recommended, we can help the learner to acquire knowledge points and achieve teaching objectives.The second aspect is to assist the teacher to analysis the test questions with the association rules. According to the association rules of test questions, the teacher can know which acknowledge the learner have not acquired, and get the reference of test questions.The last aspect is to help the teacher to analysis learners and test questions. With the cluster analysis on test results, we can gather the similar learners who have the same answer as one class. After that, with the S-P table analysis on the each class, the teacher can have a overall understanding of learners and test questions, and also have a individual analysis on the heterogeneity of the learners or test questions.
