Communist Party of China's ideological and political education has got important achievement since the reform and openness, but many problems have been existed. Especially changes of ideological and political education environment has brought forward appealing developing new resources. Historical memory and ideological and political education are connected in the study, its purpose is to implant one kind of new structure in available ideological and political education system, or develop one kind of new resource. The research concentrates efforts on strengthening the actual effect of ideological and political education. The studying mission for this purpose, originally includes three aspect:First, to lead historical memory into ideological and political education so as to innovate ideological and political education discipline utterance system; Secondly, to expound significance and necessity of historical memory in ideological and political education, and to explain relationship between ideological and political education and historical memory in theory and practice; Thirdly, from historical memory to analysis ways and methods to overcome difficult positions in ideological and political education, and strengthening actual effect of ideological and political education.For these studying missions, the study takes logic analysis as centre and normal study as main body, pays close attention to theory studies of history in memory ideological and political education. The research insists on Marxist dialectical and historical materialism, uses the discipline methods such as sociology, cultural science, political science and psychology. The study concentrates on ideological and political education and historical memory in interactive pattern in practice and affine relation in theory, probes into three problems:why need historical memory, what history to remember and how to remember history.Historical memory refers to, according to reality, recalling, self-examing and restructuring history, and it is both one kind of social culture phenomenon and one kind of distinctive cognition form. Analytical frameworks are composed of who, what, why and how to remember history. Historical memory and ideological and political education have shown agreement in individual needs and social requires. On one hand, historical memory can satisfy individual needs, be conducive to looking for oneself belonging, strengthen dignity identity, form the ideal and belief; on the other hand, historical memory can also satisfy social needs, is beneficial to strengthening patriotism, political identity and social mobilization. This explains why to remember history in ideological and political education. In ideological and political education to develop resources about historical memory carries out historical memory's production and reproduction, leading carriers, rebuilding processes and space-time forms. At the same time, to develop resources about historical memory needs to show solicitude for historical memory limit problems including the relationships between patriotism and nationalism, tradition culture and modern culture, cultural hegemony and freedom of thought in ideological and political education. These inspects mainly expound what to remember, how to have an effect to remember these history in ideological and political education theory and practice, with a view to strengthen actual effect in ideological and political education.
