Since the mid-80's of the 20th century, our country has been an imbalance in sex ratio at birth for more than 20 years, has become the most serious and longest country imbalance in sex ratio at birth in the world. Through the twenty years, China's sex ratio at birth continues rising, it is related to people's attitude towards the baby situation, social and economic conditions, the traditional concept of thought, gender detection technology and family planning policy and management and many other factors. Many scholars at home and abroad conducted extensive and intensive research on these factors that affect the high sex ratio at birth of our country. Among them, many scholars consider that the fetus gender identification and selective abortions are the direct causes of the continue rising in China's sex ratio at birth, After the mid-90's in the 20th century, this has become the theoretical consensus at home and abroad.This paper mainly discusses the influences of the identification of a fetus'gender and abortion based on the gender of a fetus without medical needs on the sex ratio at birth in China. In the influences of the identification of a fetus'gender without medical needs on the sex ratio at birth, first of all, we introduce the technology of the identification of a fetus' gender and the identification of a fetus'gender without medical needs. Then we conduct a comparative analysis of the situation before and after sex identification in the sex ratio at birth, and we also analyze the universality of the identification of a fetus'gender without medical needs, which showing that is hazards. In the influence of the abortion based on the gender of a fetus without medical needs on the sex ratio at birth, first of all, we introduce the abortion based on the gender of a fetus without medical needs. For this issue, we separately analyze that the identification of a fetus' gender has an effect on the abortion based on the gender of a fetus, and the abortion based on the gender of a fetus has an effect on the sex ratio at birth. Finally, by analyzing the relevant laws, regulations, and their problems, we offer some suggestions on the imbalance problem for the comprehensive management sex ratio at birth.
