Countermeasures Research On The Lack Of Community Educators' Professionalism

The professionalism is the basic requirement for the people who engage in a kind of profession. People more and more concern about the community educators' professionalism in the process of developing community education. It becomes an urgent need that how to improve community educators'professionalism effectively and promote the development of community education.The study, basing on the angle of professionalism, choosing the S district of Chongqing for a case, under the guidance of pedagogy and sociology, applies investigation on the current situation of the community educators'professionalism by using the methodology of interview and questionnaire survey. At last, basing on the result, tries to propose some strategies for improving community educator's professionalism and community education.The study mainly consists of five parts:The first part conducts the background, the current situation for researching community educator, the definitions of key concepts, such as the concept of community educator's professionalism.The second part deeply analyzes the developing situation of community and community educators at home and abroad, and emphasizes that it is necessary to improve community educators' professionalism for developing community education in Chongqing.The third part, basing on the result, the study analyzes the problems of the community educator's professionalism from the aspects of ideological quality, knowledge and capabilities.The fourth part, basing on the survey of community educators'professionalism, the study deeply analyzes the reasons why community educators lack professionalism in S district. It emphasizes that some reasons affect the improvement of community educators' professionalism, such as the unclear professional status, lacking of professional training, the unperfected incentive system, having less understanding the value of community education.The fifth part, the study, basing on the reasons which affect community educators to improve their professionalism, suggests the government should perfect the managing systems of community educators. It is encouraging that community educators should be well trained and get proper incentive.The community educator should design their career planning.
